難道就這樣放棄漁業研究了嗎？其實謝志豪並沒有放棄，2008年發表在「自然」期刊上的論文著重於漁業對魚群豐度的擾動，運用美國西南漁業中心資料庫的資料分析，發現漁民撈捕時篩選體型較大的魚，造成魚群的年齡金字塔低齡化，進而提高魚群群族崩解的風險，是在對漁業提出沉痛的警告。2012年發表在「科學」期刊上的研究，則是以加州最著名的鯷魚與沙丁魚漁業為題，探討這兩種族群一增一減變動背後的真正原因。問到未來有沒有可能回過頭來研究台灣漁業，謝志豪在短暫思索後回答，｢我在等一個契機｣！點此閱讀全文
